One of M&J Group’s affiliated companies is Genesis Fashions Ltd. Leading fashion companies receive excellent quality clothing from M&J Group, one of the largest and most dependable clothes manufacturers. Bangladesh’s Gazipur is home to Genesis Fashion Limited. This project covers 180000 square feet. It was awarded a LEED platinum certification after getting 81 out of 110 points, making it one of the top environmentally friendly factories. Within the framework of Bangladesh’s labor and skills legislation and institutions, Genesis Fashion Limited showed how to coordinate training and investment among a collection of businesses and training providers in a sustainable and self-funded manner. The following is a list of the project site’s main green features: This project uses high albedo paint on the building and parking lot roofs to reduce the impact of heat islands. Recycled treated water is utilized for flushing and landscaping. Water-saving fixtures like Prismatic taps and dual flush systems are introduced to reduce the amount of potable water used. Energy-efficient process equipment, HVLS fans, an energy-efficient LED & CFL lighting system, an energy-efficient VRF system with an Energy Recovery Wheel, and energy-efficient process machinery all help this plant minimize its energy usage. The project site repurposes construction waste like steel scrap and brickwork. Within 800 km, construction materials are sourced, produced, or harvested. Windows, skylights, and tall VLT glass are positioned to allow as much natural daylight as possible. To improve thermal comfort for the occupants, HVLS fans are offered. For the convenience of the employees’ lighting control, battery-operated lights are given.
